Alejandro Paul Mancillas, 16, of Hutchinson, died March 16, 2022. He was born February 20, 2006, in Hutchinson, to David Mancillas and Nichole Schroth-Hearon.
Alejandro was a student at Hutchinson High School. He was an athlete and enjoyed kickboxing, wrestling, basketball, football, and weightlifting. Alejandro also loved to spend time with his brothers and sister. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.
Alejandro is survived by: father and stepmother, David and Amanda Mancillas, Hutchinson; mother and stepfather, Nichole Schroth-Hearon and Gerrod Hearon; sister, Caylin Mancillas; brothers, Javyn Hearon, Armando Mancillas, Manuel “Manny” Mancillas; grandparents, Paulino “Granpey” and Armida Mancillas, Hutchinson, Gary and Lori Algrim, Nickerson, Cindy Schroth, Hutchinson, Leslie Hale, Hutchinson; aunts and uncles, Adriana Armbruster (Chris), Dr. Annabel Mancillas (Dr. David Gajewski), Tyler Algrim (Kim), Chase Algrim (Jessica), Ashley Clifford (Jason), Derek Barnes (Crystal Pike), Cassie Castaneda (Kale), Maranda Barnes (Jamal Boyd), Tyishia Woods (Tomy), Tierra Hearon, Tionna Hearon, Darrian Holland, Destiny Ponds; and many cousins. Alejandro was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Sheldon.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary. Parish rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday March 26, 2022, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson. A private family burial will follow the Mass service at Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, at Elliott Mortuary.
