Thomas "Tom" Gene Wenrich  |1959-2022|

Thomas "Tom" Gene Wenrich, 63, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Pratt Health and Rehab. He was born on April 21, 1959 in Pratt to Joseph "Bud" John and Mary Agnes (Engel) Wenrich. Tom married Sherry (Stippich) Wenrich on January 22, 1983 in Wichita. They were married for 39 years.

Tom graduated from Pratt High School in 1977. He attended Pratt Community College. Tom held several jobs throughout his life including a drill bit salesman, liquor store owner, service station owner, EMT, volunteer fire and rescue, and real estate agent and broker. He enjoyed fishing, camping and riding his Harley. He loved to show how much he appreciated family and friends through grilling, smoking and preparing meals. When his kids were young he was coach to them and their friends in their rec league sports. He was active in Jaycee’s and American Legion Riders.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry; daughter, Lori (Curt) Thomas of Wichita; son, Brian (Kristen) Wenrich of Houston, Texas; brothers, Jim (Tammy) Wenrich of Pratt, Dave Wenrich of Topeka and Ron Wenrich of Wichita; sister, Sue (Ed) Corriston of Wichita; granddaughters, Rileigh and Kinsley Wenrich; four nieces; and eight nephews.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 12, 2022 with family present from 2:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2022 at Larrison Mortuary with John Hamm presiding. A private family inurnment will follow at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
