Cherry Ann Warner, 85, died Jan. 24, 2021, at The Arbors at Waldron Place, Hutchinson. She was born Jan. 5, 1936, in Lyons, to Kenneth Charles and Alwyn (Warrick) Alexander.

Cherry Ann graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1956, and Hutchinson Community Junior College in 1958. She worked as a buyer for the home furnishings department at Wiley’s, and retired as the supervisory receptionist at the Medical Center. Cherry Ann enjoyed playing Bridge, and going out to eat with the “Wiley’s Group” and Class of 1956. She was a member of the Rebecca Circle Sorority, and an active member of Faith United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

On July 21, 1956, she married John W. Warner, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage before his death Dec. 10, 2016.

Other survivors include children, Steve Warner (Letha) of Hutchinson, Sandra Steude (Carl) of Meridian, Idaho, and Stephanie Hill of Augusta;  grandchildren, Brandon Warner (Julie), Blake Warner (Brittany), Brielle Warner, Tyson Miles, Lakisha Parks, Kent Miles, Jr., Janae Steude, and Derek Steude (Melanie); and great-grandchildren, Nivea, Tyley, Kaylee, Brooklyn, Landry, Charlie Jo, Jackson, and Dane.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Alan Gager officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. Masks will be required for the funeral service.
