
Karla K. Scott, 57, of Galva, Kansas, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. She was born April 26, 1963 in Moundridge, Kansas, the daughter of Willard E. and Mae (Mastre) Holdeman.
She worked for Partners in Family Care in Moundridge as a receptionist.
Karla was a member of Galva Christian Church. She attended Central Christian Church in Wichita, where she loved to participate in bible study. She was a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels and enjoyed helping others.
Karla is survived by her children, Natasha (Cameron) Wood of Moundridge, Brianna (Nea) Siliva of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and Brody Scott of Wichita; seven grandchildren, Breya, Peyton, Landon, Kolt, Noah, Harper, and Ellanore; brother, Allen (Jane) Holdeman of Indianola, Mississippi; sisters, Gwendene (Ray) Schmidt of Clarksdale, Mississippi, Diane Perko of Salem, Oregon, Lois (Wavern) Unruh of Galva, Lavone (Bruce) Koehn of Okolona, Mississippi, and Karla’s twin, Marla (Stewart) Davidson of Tupelo, Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Mae Holdeman; and three brothers-in-law, Dennis Nightingale, Ron Perko, and Mitchell Wedel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 at Galva Christian Church. Burial will follow at Meridian Mennonite Church Cemetery, rural Hesston. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family being present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The family requests to please wear masks and social distance.
