Release from Reno County Health Department
Health Order 21-01, that extended Amended Health Order 20-05 with a mass gathering limit of “10” people, will expire on February 24 and will not be extended.
The 14-day new case count has trended down from 935 per 100,000 population and 50.1% PTR (Positive Test Rate) in December, to 181 per 100,000 and 11.6% PTR as of February 17. Reno County will remain under the Governor’s Mask Mandate.
Our goal is to not be restrictive but to advise on the present state of the illness in Reno County. The following precautions are essential to continue in reducing the spread of COVID-19:
- Wear a Mask
- Social Distance by at least 6 feet
- Wash your hands frequently
- Stay at home if you are feeling ill
- Get vaccinated as soon as you are offered the vaccine for COVID-19
- Get tested if you have COVID-19 symptoms
