HARVEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 6p.m. Friday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Mazda 6 driven by Judith L. Stark, 77, Newton, was westbound in the right turn lane on U.S. 50 at Ridge Road.
The driver made a left turn in front of a westbound 2002 Chevy Suburban driven by Elizabeh L. Vanderhoeven, 30, Halstead. The suburban struck the Mazda.
EMS transported Stark to the hospital in Newton. Vanderhoeven and a child in the SUV were not transported for treatment. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
