Della Bennett, 66, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 with her family by her side in Wichita.

She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Lester Wright and Ardyce (Coble) Wright. She grew up in Valley Center and later became a life long resident of Wichita.

Della graduated from Valley Center High School in 1974. She went on to attend some business classes. As a young lady, she participated in Rainbows. After graduation, Della married Richard Kuhlman and had 4 children. Della was a believer in Christ and raised her family in the faith. They attended College Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being a stay at home mom and later went to work at McCormick-Armstrong. Della then married Cranford Bennett where she gained 3 stepchildren. They were members of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Della was a very caring person. She loved crafting, reading, baking, gardening, camping, and traveling. She loved making Halloween costumes and Christmas candy with her children and grandchildren. She relaxed by reading her Danielle Steel books and tending to her beautiful flower gardens. Della loved being outside going on long walks, camping with family and friends and traveling to see the great outdoors. She had many adventures in hot air ballooning, traveling to places like Cabo San Lucas, whitewater rafting in Colorado and enjoying the mountains.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Ardyce Wright, her son, Jeremiah Kuhlman, her brother, Dean Wright, her sister, Kathleen Head (George), and her grandson, Wesson Kuhlman.

Della is survived by her husband Cranford Bennett, Wichita; children: Susan Brillhart (Chris) of Park City; Rebecca Gallo (Juan) of Bel Aire; and Eric Kuhlman (Jessica) of Wichita; Deborah Leis (Marv) of Washington; Arthur Lohrengel (Michelle) of Wichita; and Sharon Lester (Charlie) of Lake Texoma, Texas;  grandchildren: Annabelle Farthing (Stephen) of Valley Center; Chase Brillhart (Cassidy) of Halstead; Gillian Mock (Andrew) of Newton; Colten Brillhart, Rozalynn Brillhart, Samantha Brillhart, Penelope Brillhart, Scarlett Brillhart of Park City; Greyson Gallo, Gavin Gallo of Bel Aire; Ava Gideons of Rapid City, South Dakota, Sofia Kuhlman, Aurora Kuhlman, Garrett Kuhlman of Wichita; Lindsey and Jason, Morgan and Dalton Lohrengel, Heather, Brandon, Ricky, and Faith;  great-grandchildren: Sadie and Konrad Farthing; Pepper, Stoick, and Rosemarri Brillhart; Holden and Wess Paquette;  sister Janace Seyb (Rick) of Valley Center; many other family and friends.

Service will be held 10 am Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church 600 N. Greenwich Rd. Wichita, 67206. Lite refreshments will be served following the service.
