LAWRENCE, Kan. — Haven’s Class 3A state softball season officially ended Thursday after the Kansas State High School Activities Association canceled the third-place game because of weather.

KSHSAA announced the game between No. 2 Haven and No. 5 Jefferson West was canceled because of heavy rain throughout the day in Lawrence and more rain in Friday’s forecast. KSHSAA said both schools agreed to cancel the game.

Haven ends the season tied for third place in Class 3A with a 28-3 record. Jefferson West also finished tied for third at 22-7.
