HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Reno County is hosting Hops in the Hangar 2022 on April 29 at Wells Aircraft at the Hutchinson Airport. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast, aviation buff, or just looking for a fun night out you won't want to miss Hops in the Hangar.

"It also exposes them to the silent auction and the other events during the program and the dinner, said Don Rogers with Wells Aircraft. "It will let them see what the facility has and this gem of an airport we have sitting on the east side of Hutchinson."

Assuming it is a fire free day, the heroic aircraft from the recent wildfires in Kansas will be there.

"Tanker 95 will be on display, provided we don't have winds that day," Rogers said. "Bill Garrison also has a really nice T-33 that will be on display, we have a few Pipers coming in from Moundridge, as well. We'll have our Cirrus aircraft on display, as well, along with just all kinds of neat things about aviation around the event itself."

KAKE-TV Chief Meteorologist Jay Prater, who is a pilot, will be the evening's Master of Ceremonies.

"There's only a finite amount of people that we want to fit into the hangar," said Denise Brodsky with Big Brothers, Big Sisters. It's $75 a ticket. We probably only have about 50 tickets left."

The event sold out in 2021. You can order your tickets here.
