A special blood drive is being held in honor of Baylor Ehling — a brave young girl who battled a rare yolk sac tumor at just 17 months old. During her 18-month treatment, Baylor required multiple blood transfusions. Her journey is a powerful reminder of how vital blood donations truly are.
The blood drive will take place at First Presbyterian Church over three days:
- Monday, June 2, from noon to 6:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- And Wednesday, June 4, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All donors will receive a $15 e-gift card and be entered to win one of two $7,000 gift cards.
The Red Cross says blood can only be stored for 42 days and is critical for patients with cancer, trauma, and chronic illnesses.
