Cosmosphere confirms Artemis II launch watch party plans

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — As anticipation builds for NASA’s Artemis II mission, the Cosmosphere isconfirming plans for its Artemis II Launch Watch Party, scheduled to align with the currentlytargeted launch on April 1, 2026 at 5:24 PM CST.

With the launch date rapidly approaching, the Cosmosphere invites the community to gather for this historic moment as NASA prepares to send astronauts around the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years. Artemis II represents a major milestone in the Artemis program and a significant step toward returning humans to the lunar surface.

The Cosmosphere’s Launch Watch Party will follow the official launch timeline, with general admission beginning at 3:30 PM, two hours prior to the scheduled liftoff. Guests will have the opportunity to come together and share in the excitement as the countdown to launch unfolds.

The event will also feature a special presentation titled “Countdown to Artemis II,” providing insight into the mission and its importance to the future of space exploration.
