HARVEY COUNTY — The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office will coordinate a DUI check lane enforcement effort in Harvey County this weekend.
The check lane will begin Saturday evening and continue into Sunday morning.
The check lane will be conducted with assistance from other Harvey County law enforcement agencies and the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The overarching purpose of the DUI check lane is to educate drivers about the dangers of intoxicated driving, and also to remove any driver from the road that is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The Sheriff’s Office most recently conducted a local check lane in May 2023.
