HUTCHINSON, Kan. — STRATACA is having a special anniversary celebration later this month.
"We're actually celebrating our 15th anniversary on May 21 and 22," said Michael Ables with the museum. "We're actually doing a special, so it's going to be $15 for everybody. It doesn't matter if you're from Reno County or Kansas City. Everybody's going to get in for $15."
STRATACA is still hiring part-time seasonal tour guides for the summer, as well.
"Come to STRATACA," Ables said. "Take out an application. I know we're looking for some good seasonal employees. Also, if you're wanting to volunteer, this is also a wonderful opportunity that's unheard of, because you don't see this anywhere else in the United States."
Ables said the museum has bounced back well from the pandemic.
"We actually did an economic impact study, to kind of take a look at what we've done from 2019 to present day," Ables said. "Right now, pre-pandemic 2019 numbers compared to what we are right now, we're at 99% of what we did pre-pandemic numbers. I think we're doing pretty good."
