Ag Minute: Tariff and fees for China

One agribusiness analyst says there is more fearmongering over a proposal to increase fees on ocean carriers with ties to China. 

The American Farm Bureau conducted a study that shows ag exporters would have to pay millions more in annual transportation costs if the fees went into effect. 

President Trump has proposed a series of fees as high as $1.5 million dollars that would target Chinese-operated vessels and Chinese-built vessels that access American ports.
