HAVEN, Kan. — Haven city employees will be getting a pay raise next year. The Haven City Council recently approved the pay increases.
The city will provide a 1.3% cost-of-living allowance for all part- and full-time employees, up to 1% increase for longevity for all employees who have worked for the city for five full years or more. It also provides up to a 2.7% increase based on an employee’s superior job performance, documented and justified through ongoing, written performance evaluations done by his or her supervisor. The employees must be working full time for the city for at least 12 months.
The council also has a new member. Approval was given to appoint Kyle Rush to fill a current vacancy. His appointment will begin Jan. 1 and run through 2024.
The council also approved two license renewals for the two mobile home parks in the city, and approved the workers' compensation insurance at a cost of $15,415 and a pollution liability insurance policy for the water treatment plant at a cost of $18,667.
