Ira D. Schroeder, 71, of Parker, Colorado, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. He was born March 7, 1949 in Newton, Kansas, the son of Victor and Elma (Klassen) Schroeder.
Ira attended the Sunrise Grade School in rural Goessel and graduated from Goessel High School with the class of 1967.
He was a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel and attended church at Castle Oak Church in Castle Rock, Colorado.
Ira worked as a plumber for many years, owning his own business, Vogel Plumbing in Parker.
He is survived by his sister, LaVerna Ediger of Inman; brothers, Jimmy Schroeder of Canton and John Schroeder of Hesston; brother-in-law, Wilbert Schmidt of Goessel; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Schroeder of Sacramento, California.
Ira was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jean Schmidt and Eunice Schmidt; and brother, Goldwin Schroeder.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery, Goessel. Memorial contributions may be made to Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, to go towards their cemetery fund, in care of Miller- Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 96, Goessel, KS 67053.
