
Allen Ray Pauls, 81, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 at his home. He was born May 1, 1939, the son of John A. and Hilda (Loepp) Pauls.
Allen was united in marriage to Karlene Regier on April 23, 1961 in Buhler, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Serving Christ was critical to Allen, as he was an active member of Journey Mennonite Church for many years. Singing in Praise IV gospel quartet was an important part of their lives.
Allen and Karlene cherished their time together. Following their marriage, they served in 1W service as conscientious objectors in Evanston, Illinois for two years. Allen’s passion for farming was mutually shared with his wife.
He was a 6th grade Math and Science teacher for Inman Elementary for 26 years.
Allen had a love of old cars, restoring tractors, and Elvis Presley music.
Other survivors include his son, Gary (Shannon) Pauls; daughter, Diane “De” (Mike) Burgan, both of Hutchinson; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jane (Marvin) Rich of Sterling, and Mary (Steve) Woiczechowski of Aiken, South Carolina.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Hilda Pauls.
Cremation is planned with a private family burial at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Journey Mennonite Church in care of Buhler Mortuary, PO Box 589, Buhler, KS 67522
