IUKA, Kan. — A small Kansas town is gearing up for a big event this weekend, as the second annual Old School Vintage Market returns to Iuka, just north of Pratt, with nearly double the number of vendors from its debut year.
The market, taking place this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature around 50 vendors — up from 27 last year — offering everything from handmade jewelry and clay earrings to woodworking, refinished furniture, vintage goods, and repurposed “junk” with creative flair. Organizer Kaitlyn Lahey says the event has grown rapidly in just its second year and shows no signs of slowing down.

"We’ve got something for everyone," said Lahey. “Whether you’re a flipper looking for a great find to repurpose, or just want to browse unique handmade items, this is the place to be.”
In addition to the vintage and artisan booths, six food and drink trucks will be on hand, including a mobile bar, snow cone trailer, coffee vendor, and more. A local youth group will also be participating with a fundraiser to support sending kids to summer camp.
The inspiration for the market came from a visit to First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas — known as the world’s largest flea market. The organizer hopes to build something similar in Kansas over time, saying the ultimate vision is to create a large-scale, community-driven market that continues to grow each year.
The Old School Vintage Market is a one-day-only event. Admission is free, and all are welcome to enjoy a fun day of food, shopping, and small-town charm.
