Marjorie “Marj” Mugler, 86, died peacefully on December 18, 2020, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born November 20, 1934, in Longford, to Matthew and Opal (Oard) Heigele.

She married Martin Mugler on June 19, 1955. They were married 47 years, prior to his passing on May 15, 2003. They had four children: Connie, Marla, Gary and Karen. Marj’s life centered on family and she enjoyed being a full-time homemaker, happily living in the same home for 51 years, and was a part-time florist. Marj enjoyed crafting, sewing, being outside in nature with her flowers and the birds, and watching sporting events on TV. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Martin.

Marj is survived by: her sister, Janice Harrington, Gardner; children, Connie Nuss (Tony), Chanhassen, MN, Marla Eriksen (Jeff), Hutchinson, Gary Mugler (Roberta), Gypsum, Karen Frizell (Jeff), Hutchinson; grandchildren, Emily Nuss Lazar (Joe), Minneapolis, MN, Michael Nuss (Lindsey Alinder), Minneapolis, MN, Whitney Eriksen Chang (Ken), Fairway, Kelsey Eriksen Barnes (Jim), Lawrence, Lindsey Eriksen Leslie (Matthew), Lawrence, Garett Mugler (Kelsey), Concordia, Mitch Mugler, Manhattan, Max Graber (Josie Taylor), Windsor, CO, Madi Graber Smith (Garrett), Roeland Park; and great-grandchildren, Joey, Audrey, and Leah Lazar, Taytum, Braylee, and Gavin Mugler, Nora and Dawson Chang, Miles Barnes, and Henry Leslie.

The family will have a private graveside service in Longford.

In honor of all the wonderful healthcare workers that helped Marj through her final days, memorials may be made to Hutchinson Community College Endowment Association to support Allied Heath Scholarships, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.
