RENO COUNTY, Kan. —One person was injured in an accident just before 2:30 p.m. Friday in Reno County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Ford Edge driven by Hugh Mann Proffitt, 43, Hutchinson, was westbound on K96 at South Obee Road in the right lane.&nbsp; The driver failed to maintain the lane. The SUV veered onto the right shoulder and struck a legally-parked 2020 Dodge Ram. After impact, the SUV rotated clockwise, rolled three times and came to a rest on its roof.

EMS transported Proffitt to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.&nbsp; The pickup was unoccupied. Proffitt and a passenger in the SUV were wearing their seatbelts, according to the KHP.
