A new free program aimed at boosting digital skills in Hutchinson launches Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Hutchinson Public Library.
Hutch For Success, co-sponsored by IRC Wichita and the City of Hutchinson, will kick off with an opening session from 6 to 8 p.m. Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday in four sets of three-month courses.

Designed to support recently resettled refugees, the program is also open to all community members interested in strengthening their technology skills. Organizers say it will lay the groundwork for a series of workforce development courses planned for 2026.
In addition, the program is hiring a Digital Literacy Navigator to assist participants. Those interested can apply through the International Rescue Committee’s website at careers.rescue.org.
Organizers say they hope the program will help bridge the digital divide and create new opportunities for residents across Hutchinson.
