Alvin Lloyd Fry, 92, died May 26, 2021, at granddaughter’s home in Goddard. He was born March 6, 1929, at Haven, to Chris and Melinda (Borntrager) Fry.
Alvin grew up Amish and completed 7th grade at Yoder. He was an Electrolux Corp. sales representative.
Alvin was a loving and devoted Baptist, and was a longtime member and deacon of Temple Baptist Church, Hutchinson.
On August 10, 1946, he married Norma Lee Cunningham. They shared over 68 years of marriage, prior to her death on November 12, 2014.
Alvin is survived by: son, Randall Fry of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Buchanan of Goddard and Ryan Fry of Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Ethan Fry of Nebraska, Kellan Fry of Hutchinson, Skyler Rupp, Devin and Timbria McKendrick, and Kalen Jones, all of Wichita.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers, Elmer and Fay Fry; and two sisters, Mary Chapain and La Fern Wright.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2021, at Temple Baptist Church, 631 E. 3rd Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastors Willard Stafford and Matt Stafford officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary.
