Wichita police investigate 3rd fatal shooting in 4 days

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two injured.

Just before 9a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a shooting call in the 1100 block of North Ash in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson.

Upon arrival, officers contacted a man who had been shot.  He was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Two other men involved in the incident also arrived at the hospital who had been shot.

Investigators are working to determine the details of what occurred. Police released no additional details late Tuesday.

This is the third fatal shooting in Wichita in four days. A 17-year-old and a 22-year-old died in separate shootings over the weekend.
