Gilbert Harvey Koehn, 79, of Moundridge, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born November 5, 1942 in Halstead, the son of Hermon and Luvina (Smith) Koehn.
Gilbert attended school in Burns.
Gilbert moved to Moundridge in 2001, and lived there for 20 years. He was a member of the Gospel Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Moundridge.
He was united in marriage to Dolores Ann Dyck on April 26, 1963 in Hillsboro. She survives.
Gilbert was a lifelong carpenter.
Other survivors include his sons, Mark (Cynthia) Koehn of Louisville, GA, Denis (Whitney) Koehn of Halstead, Steve (Vianne) Koehn of Moundridge, and Ed (Melissa) Koehn of Galva; daughters, Cindy (Darrell) Becker of Halstead, and Elsie (Randy) Unruh of Lobelville, TN; 24 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Von) Koehn of El Dorado, Laurel (Nelda) Koehn of Farmington, KY, and Roger (Geneva) Koehn of Burns; and sister-in-law, Arlene Koehn of Burns.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chester Koehn; sister, Sherrie Koehn; sister-in-law, Dorothy Koehn; and grandson, Kyle Koehn.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Gospel Mennonite Church, Moundridge. Burial will follow at Lone Tree Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, August 10 at Moundridge Funeral Home, with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the church.
