PRATT, Kan. – Pratt Regional Medical Center patients will now benefit from advanced imaging with the uMI 550 Digital PET/CT system from United Imaging.
PET/CT scans begin at PRMC on Wednesday April 30th, and will be available once a week on Wednesdays. The mobile PET/CT scanner will provide scans for about 10-15 patients per day/week.
“A PET/CT scan can provide patients with detailed 3D images of their body, showing both anatomical structures (CT) and metabolic activity (PET), which can help in diagnosing, staging, and monitoring various conditions,” Mike Cline, PRMC Imaging Services Manager said. “Specifically, it aids in detecting, localizing, and assessing the extent of cancer, evaluating the effectiveness of treatments, and identifying potential recurrences.”

Patients can select sound and lighting to fit their mood for a personalized experience which includes skylights, murals and integrated music system. The increased signal allows the exam time to be shortened without compromising image quality. Experience an overall decrease in claustrophobia.
A next-generation scanner designed to deliver exceptional image quality and patient care.
• Digital PET technology for sharper images and faster scan times

Built with both patients and providers in mind, the uMI 550 brings powerful imaging performance and efficiency together in one system. Experience the balance of advanced technology and comfort during your next PET/CT exam.
PRMC is excited to add this needed service for patients and the community. All scans require an order from a physician or advanced practice provider.
