
Matthew D. Halula, 61, died on December 1, 2020 at his home in Wichita, KS. He was born November 16, 1959 in Kansas City, KS, the son of John and Sharon (Moles) Halula.
Matt graduated from Trinity High School in 1978 and attended Hutchinson Community College and Washburn University. He worked at Winchester Packing and later he was a general contractor for over 30 years. Matt was a math genius and a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan and a proud football player for the Trinity Catholic High School football team where they went 11-1 in 1977.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Brian Halula.
Survivors include his children, Zachary (Saira) Voller, Melissa (Sean) Dixon, Virginia Voller, Kristin Voller, Kaycee (Kingham) Johnson, and Trisha (Loyd) Johnston; silbing, Anna (Rodney) Halula- Busby, Andrew (Judy) Halula, Katherine (Lewis Jackson) Halula, Elizabeth ( Dennis) Goff and brother-in-law, Tracy Terry; grandchildren, Mikey Voller, Amber, Mara, Naomi and Jacqueline Dixon, Tyler, Lucas and Gavin Showers, Rachel Donner, Erik Roberts, Zachary and Tyler Foster, Nash, Daelyn, Blaik and Hayley Johnston.
There will be no public visitation as cremation was chosen. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2020 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, with Pastor Montie McFerrin officiating. Memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities or Kindred Hospice and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel. Due to Covid- 19 restrictions, the family asks that masks be worn at memorial service.
