HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A class for adults taught by Rev. Ted Weis this month at Hutchinson Community College will go over books that are not in the Bible.

"We're going to be looking at books that are classified as apocryphal literature, which means hidden things, or we could say books that are kind of off in the shadows, in the corners and then also we'll be looking at books that are described as pseudepigraphal literature," Weis said. "These are false writings or imaginative writings."

The class is sponsored by the Hutchinson Community College Lifelong Learning section. The class is from 10 a.m. to noon at the Shears Technology Center on the HutchCC campus.

"Sometimes writers are inspired by what they find in other literature," said Weis. "Then they go and expand upon that. That's what we'll be looking at in this course. Some books that were inspired by books that are in the Bible."

The registration fee is $45. If you'd still like to get in, you can call 620-727-2791 or email [email protected].
