HUTCHINSON, Kan. — There is a new local nonprofit baseball organization forming in the Salt City, and it's founded by Hutchinson native, Andrew Ehling.
"We're focused on growing the game and developing fundamentals," Ehling said. "We're working with USA Baseball and their development model to allow the kids to grow fundamental skills and with their health in mind."
They will be holding tryouts on July 29 at 9 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m., and then another tryout on August 3 at 6 p.m. The three tryouts will be held at Fun Valley field #2.
There will be three teams as of now, an 8-under team, 10-under team and a 12-under team. Ehling also mentioned all of the coaches within the organization will go through USA Baseball certification.
The group is planning to make the organization affordable for anyone to play.
