STAFFORD COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 7:30p.m. Wednesday in Stafford County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Mazda 3 driven by Brittany L. Hayden, 38, Hutchinson, was westbound on NE 40th Street at NE 120th Avenue.
The driver failed to yield to a southbound 2016 Chevy Silverado driven by Willem A. Vanderwalt, 42, St. John. The vehicles collided.
EMS transported Hayden to the Stafford County Hospital. Vanderwalt and a 10-year-old in the Mazda were not injured. The occupants of the Mazda were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.
