🏐 Several Reno County teams earn spots in first KVA volleyball rankings of 2025

Several Hutchinson-area schools are represented in the Kansas Volleyball Association’s first rankings of the regular season, released Wednesday.

In Class 3A, Hesston debuted at No. 3 with a 6-1 start, while Halstead, the defending state champs and preseason No. 1, sits at No. 4 after opening 3-3. In Class 2A, Moundridge is off to a 7-0 start and entered the poll at No. 2, followed closely by Inman at No. 6 after a 5-2 opening stretch. Pretty Prairie claimed the No. 10 spot in Class 1A Division I at 4-4, while Little River held firm at No. 1 in 1A Division I with a 3-1 record.

Ellinwood (2A), Silver Lake (3A), Hayden (4A), St. Thomas Aquinas (5A), and Mill Valley (6A) top their respective classifications. Records listed reflect results through Sept. 8, and classifications are based on 2024-25 enrollments until the KSHSAA releases updated numbers at the end of the month.
