HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Community Wellness Coalition is inviting families to a community-wide celebration highlighting local health and wellness efforts on Saturday, April 4.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at D.C.I. Park and is designed to showcase the work of the coalition’s various committees while offering a fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
Organizers say the event will feature a wide range of activities for all ages, including inflatables, a bounce house, a “Touch-a-Truck” experience, and a selection of food trucks. In addition to entertainment, attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with coalition initiatives through hands-on activities.
Each of the coalition’s subcommittees will host interactive stations. For example, the Food Advisory Council plans to offer a gardening activity where participants can decorate flower pots and take home vegetable plants to grow.
The event aims not only to celebrate ongoing wellness efforts across Reno County, but also to encourage community members to get involved. Organizers hope attendees will learn more about the coalition’s mission and consider participating in future meetings and programs.
The event is free and open to the public.
