 </figure>GEARY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating the Deputy Chief of&nbsp;<a href="https://home.army.mil/riley/index.php/about/dir-staff/directorate-emergency-services/law-enforcement" target="_blank">Police for Fort Rile</a>y for alleged&nbsp;domestic battery.Just after 4:30p.m. Monday, police arrested 51-year-old Shannon Wilson at his home in Wakefield, according to&nbsp;Steve Elstrom, Director of Public Affairs with Fort Riley.Wilson was booked into the Clay Co. Jail on a requested charge of domestic battery, according to the sheriff's department and is no longer in custody, according to online jail records.Wilson has been employed as a Department of the Army Civilian employee since 2014. He has been Deputy Chief since 2016. During the investigation, Wilson has been assigned duties without law enforcement authority.
