Steven D. Rogers, 66, of Buhler, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021, at Hospice House of Hutchinson. He was born September 26, 1954 in Smith Center, Kansas, the son of Donald and Carol (Wood) Rogers.
Steven attended Mankato High School and later received his G.E.D.
He was a member of Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church.
Steven worked as a carpenter and building contractor for Steven Rogers Contracting of Buhler.
He was united in marriage to Cinda Wilhelms on October 3, 1975 at Superior, Nebraska. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his three grandchildren, Tisha (Ean) Chesterman, Tabitha Boshears, and Taylor Boshears; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Kendall, and twins, Liam and Elivia Chesterman; sister, Patricia Rogers of Osage City; niece, Tara (Nicholas) Bowels; and his beloved dog and cat, Daisy and Ruthie.
Steven was preceded in death by his son, Shane Rogers; parents; and brother, Dane Rogers.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hutchinson Animal Shelter or Buhler Library in care of Buhler Mortuary, PO Box 589, Buhler, KS 67522.
