HUTCHINSON, Kan. — KWBW’s Project Concern for 2020 raised $16,175.81.
This was in spite of the inability for BW to hold its normal turkey event because of COVID-19.
KWBW has obtained gift cards from Dillons for the Salvation Army to distribute starting on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dillons provided $14,600 in gift cards for the just under $13,000 invested by BW listeners, which was 80% of the total.
The other 20% of the money was divided and given to Friendship Meals and the Christian Soup Ministry this year.
Over 750 families will be helped by Project Concern.
Last year, KWBW raised $16,197. Project Concern would not be a success each year without the help of BW's generous listeners.
