Kansas jail deputy accused of domestic violence

SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a detention deputy for alleged domestic violence.

On Saturday, Haysville police arrested Sedgwick County Detention Deputy Jonathan Ramirez, according to sheriff's department spokesman Lt. Benjamin Blick.

He was booked into jail on requested charges of Domestic Violence Battery, Domestic Violence Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Deprivation of Property. Deputy Ramirez has been employed by the Sheriff’s Office since June 2019. Deputy Ramirez has been suspended without pay.
