Off to a 3-1 start to the 2025-26 season, the Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team took a drop in the first regular-season NJCAA Division I rankings released on Monday.
Ranked No. 13 in the preseason rankings, the Blue Dragons dropped to No. 19 on Monday.

The drop in the rankings was directly attributed to a 66-56 loss to NEO on Friday in the BSN Sports Tip-Off Classic.
Hutchinson opened the season with victories over Southeast (NE) Community College and Triton College in the State Fair Classic on October 31-November 1 in Sedalia, Missouri. The Dragons opened the BSN Classic with the loss to NEO, but rebounded on Saturday with an 81-62 victory over Neosho County.
The Blue Dragons have now been ranked in 32 consecutive polls and have been ranked in 191 of the last 213 polls.
The Blue Dragons are one of three Jayhawk Conference teams in the rankings. Dodge City moved up two spots to No. 2 and Butler jumped five spots to No. 19.
Defending national champion Northwest Florida State remains No. 12, followed by Dodge City, Chipola, Three Rivers and Gulf Coast State.
The Blue Dragons play a pair of home games this weekend in the Hutch Women's Classic. The Blue Dragon play host to Murray State at 6 p.m. on Friday and Otero at 4 p.m. on Saturday. No. 20 State Fair is the fourth team in the field.
