Marilyn Ruth Fisher |1939-2021|

Marilyn Ruth Fisher, 82, died May 23, 2021, at her home.  She was born April 12, 1939, in Amarillo, TX, to Robert H. and Mary Frances (Merriman) Howes. 

Marilyn graduated from Palo Duro High School, Amarillo, TX, in 1957.  She moved to Hutchinson in 1967, and worked alongside her husband, Ray, for 24 years at Ray Fisher Agency-American Family Insurance. Marilyn was a member of First Christian Church, Hutchinson.

On July 15, 1967, she married Ray M. Fisher, in Amarillo, TX.  

Marilyn is survived by:  daughter, Lori Douglas (Perry Reger); sons, Robert Fisher and Joey Fisher, all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Nicholas Douglas (Kylee), Madison Paige, both of Hutchinson, Taylor MacArthur (Josh) of Kingman, Brianne Hobson (Ben) of Wichita; great-grandchildren, Sage Douglas and Logan Douglas of Hutchinson, Brinley MacArthur and Adelyn MacArthur of Kingman, Nora Hobson and Emma Hobson of Wichita, and Jyana Fisher of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband, Ray M. Fisher; brother, Billy Howes; and a grandson, Bobby Ray Fisher.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, with Pastor Bob Phipps officiating.  Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Kindred Hospice or Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, Amarillo TX, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
