
Ruby Jean Oldehoeft, 88, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 6, 2021, at Pleasant Hills, Hutchinson. She was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Assaria, to Martin and Anna (Pearson) Olson.
Ruby graduated from Assaria High School in 1950. She was a homemaker and also worked for JC Penney’s in Emporia. Ruby loved to go fishing with her husband and spend time with her grandchildren. Her loss will be deeply felt by all that knew her. Ruby was kind to everyone she met and special to her caretakers, as well as her family. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
On Nov. 29, 1953, Ruby married Wilfred Walter Oldehoeft in Assaria. They shared nearly 64 years together before he passed away on Nov. 3, 2018.
She is survived by daughter, Kris Crainer, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Caleb Crainer, Los Angeles, California, Holly Binns (Brad), Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Caroline and Merrick Binns, Hutchinson; brothers, Arthur Olson, Rancho Cucamunga, California, John (Mary) Olson, Salina; and many nieces and nephews.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilfred Oldehoeft; sisters, Mary Anne Daily, Bette Burdette; and brothers, Carl and Raymond Olson.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
