
Several Hutch Post area boys tennis teams will compete in Kansas State High School Activities Association regional tournaments Friday, May 8, as players look to earn spots in the 2026 state tournaments.
KSHSAA will hold four regional tournaments in each classification, including 6A, 5A, 4A and 3-1A, with local schools spread across five sites in Class 5A, Class 4A and Class 3-1A.
Hutchinson will compete in the Class 5A regional at the Salina Tennis Center, while Buhler will host a Class 4A regional at the Buck Balzer Tennis Complex. McPherson will also host a Class 4A regional.
In Class 3-1A, Fairfield and South Barber are among the teams headed to Conway Springs, while Haven, Hutchinson-Trinity Catholic, Lyons, Nickerson and Sterling will compete at Wichita Collegiate.
The top six finishers in both singles and doubles at each of the four regional tournaments in every classification qualify for the state tournaments. Each state tournament field will include 24 singles players and 24 doubles teams.
