HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Beginning Aug. 1, educators and children under the age of 18 can take advantage of a special “Back-to-School Splashdown” discount at the Cosmosphere. This offer is valid for $5 off an All-Access Mission Pass and will be offered during the entire month of August.
"It's what I like to call our do everything at the Cosmosphere pass," said spokesperson Carla Stanfield. "You get an opportunity to go through our Hall of Space Museum, you are able to watch a documentary in our Digital Dome Theater, watch a planetarium show in our planetarium and do the Dr. Goddard's live demo in the Dr. Goddard's Lab."
Educators have a little more to do to get the discount than kids do.
"There's a couple of things for educators specifically," Stanfield said. "They must show their ID. You have to mention the discount at the box office to be able to receive the discount. You can mention that you've heard it on an ad or saw it in the paper or saw it on Hutch Post."
Kids just need to be present to get the discount, they don't need ID.
"This is valid for kids under the age of 18," Stanfield said. "It's available via in-person sales at our box office physically or by phone at 665-9312."
The discount reduces prices to $17.50 plus tax for adults and $10.50 plus tax for kids.
