Hutchinson Fire Department
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Hutchinson Fire crews were sent to the 100 block of East 13th on the report of a working structure fire.
First crews attacked inside and attempted to rescue occupants.
The fire was contained to the room of origin and the attic area above that.
Occupants had made it out before firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
HFD wants to remind residents to check their smoke detectors to make sure they are working properly.
