
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team erased a seven-point halftime deficit to come from behind and defeat Colby, 75-71 on Wednesday in the Sports Arena.
The Blue Dragons win their second straight game at home and are now 12-15 overall, 7-14 in the Jayhawk Conference.
Daleron Thomas led the way for the Blue Dragons, matching a career-high 29 points on a single-game high eight made 3-pointers.
Hutchinson hit a season-high 14 3-pointers in the victory, including one by Lolo Rudolph with 26 seconds left that put the Blue Dragons in front 74-69. Rudolph finished with 11 points and 10 assists for his second career double-double.
Bobby Cannon was the third Blue Dragon to score in double figures, going for 18 points and five rebounds.
Hutchinson finished with 22 assists on 25 made field goals and a season-low six turnovers.
Colby knocked down 11 made 3-pointers and were led by D.J. Cason, who finished with 20 points on four made triples.
The Blue Dragons will travel to Coffeyville on Saturday to face the Red Ravens. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. from Nellis Hall.
