Barton Cougar sophomore forward Myles Thompson averaged a double-double leading the 19th-ranked Cougars to a 3-0 week and was named the Jayhawk Conference Division I Player of the Week.&nbsp;

Beginning the week with a 22 point, 11 rebound effort in 21 minutes of court time, the Hutchinson sophomore just missed a double-double with nine rebounds against NOC-Tonkawa before posting a 17 point, 13 rebound performance in seventeen minutes to cap the week's victory over NOC-Enid.

Thompson is a 2021 graduate of Hutchinson High School where he helped lead the Salthawks to the state basketball quarterfinals his senior year. Thompson was named the 'Salthawk of the Year' in 2021, and was named a first-team all-AVCTL DI selection.
