HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Police Department announces that they have made an arrest in the fatality fire on Saturday Feb. 1.
Police say that after they arrived at the scene, they found two deceased, 32-year-old Kalsey M Payton and one juvenile female. The other two individuals, 37-year-old Wendell Payton and a juvenile were transported to Hutchinson Regional, and later to a hospital in Wichita. The juvenile has since been released from the hospital.

During their investigation, probable cause was established, and Payton has been arrested and booked into the Reno County Correctional Facility.
Police have requested the following charges; two counts of Murder in the First Degree, one count of aggravated arson, one count of aggravated endangering a child, and two counts of felony interference with law enforcement.
Hutchinson Police wish to thank the community for their patience. They also added that they were confident there was no immediate threat to the community.
