Saline County feels 4.3 tremor Wednesday

SALINE COUNTY — A relatively strong earthquake rocked a portion of central Kansas Wednesday morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.3 tremor centered 5 km SSW of Gypsum occurred at 7:45 a.m.

Four smaller quakes followed in less than an hour and a half's time Wednesday morning. None of those were over 2.8, according to the Kansas Geological Survey.
