Kathleen Joy “Kathy” Rodriguez, 59, died May 25, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born March 3, 1962, in McPherson, to Marion Olin and Wilma Rose (Vinsonhaler) Maynard.
Kathy graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1980. She worked as a supervisor at Waggoners, Inc. for over 25 years. Kathy enjoyed oil painting, reading, cooking, and baking. At Christmas, she baked all the cookies and candy for her family.
On March 21, 1983, she married Estevan “Steve” Rodriguez, in Hutchinson.
Kathy is survived by: her husband, Estevan of Hutchinson; sons, Manuel Rodriguez of Kearney, NE, and Kevin Rodriguez of Hutchinson; siblings, Richard Maynard (Laurie), Marilyn Booth (Doug), Patti Beach, Bruce Maynard, Janice Cowan (Tom), Debra Henning (Mike), her twin-sister, Kris Wilson (Mike), and Cinda Younis (Mohammed); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, who all dearly adored their aunt.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; in-laws, Dolores and Venancio Rodriguez; a brother, Larry Maynard; and a sister, Linda Froese.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Craig Waetke officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30, 2021, and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
