The meeting begins at 9 a.m. in the Veterans Room of the Reno County Courthouse at 206 West First Avenue.
On the agenda, commissioners will consider several proclamations, including the Week of the Young Child, National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and National Public Health Week, which runs April sixth through the tenth.
The consent agenda includes routine items like payment of county vouchers, along with several purchases and agreements—such as more than 73-thousand dollars for fire district protective equipment, new firewalls for county systems, and a change order for public works repairs.
Under business items, commissioners will review funding allocations from the 2026 Fights Addiction Fund, including support for Community Corrections and Horizons Mental Health.
They’ll also consider a request to fund a new care coordinator position, hear annual reports from Aging and Public Transportation, and discuss updates to RCAT fares.
Other items include a proposal for historical document indexing, the potential purchase of new body and in-car cameras for the sheriff’s office, and the Public Works annual report.
An executive session is also planned for non-elected personnel.
Again, the Reno County Commission meets Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the courthouse in downtown Hutchinson.
