HARPER COUNTY — One person died in an accident just before 10:30 a.m. Friday in Harper County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Ford F150 driven by Joseph Bailey, 49, Kingman, was westbound at 309 West 14th Street in Harper.
The pickup traveled left sideswiping a light pole and barrier.The pickup continued westbound for another block and collided with an eastbound 2020 Kenworth semi driven by Nathaniel Burgess, 59, Republic, Missouri.
After impact, the pickup bounced off the semi trailer and struck the front of a 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Mark Bowen, 66, Harper.
Bailey was transported to Patterson Hospital in Anthony where he was pronounced deceased. The other drivers were not injured. The KHP had incomplete seatbelt usage information.
