
HARVEY COUNTY — A Goddard man was killed in an accident in Harvey County Monday night.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that a 2009 Kia Spectra driven by 47-year-old Wanda S. Ivy of Newton was traveling eastbound on US 50 from milepost 266 west of Newton and was traveling at a slow rate of speed due to weather conditions. A 2004 Ford F250 driven by 33-year-old Brandon Michael Albert of Goddard was traveling eastbound on US 50 and struck the Spectra in a rear-end collision. The truck rolled multiple times ejecting Albert. Albert then came to rest on the highway.
Albert was pronounced dead at the scene. Ivy was taken to St. Francis hospital in Wichita to be checked out.
