Harold M. Hester, Sr., 82, went to heaven on September 9, 2021, peacefully at his home in Hutchinson, Kansas. Harold was born on September 24, 1938 in Sterling, Kansas, the son of Teddy and Alice Hester. Harold graduated in 1958 from Kingman High School, Kingman, Kansas. He worked on the family farm from age 4 until he left home. Harold spent most of his life as a truck driver. He had several businesses of his own, pulling mobile homes, H&K Turquoise Jewelry, tree trimming, H&K produce, swathing and bailing hay. Harold retired from Shears APAC in 2008. He was a jack of all trades. He loved restoring John Deere tractors, fishing, crafts, and time with his family.
In 1958, he married Particia Boyer. On July 6, 1972, he married Karen S. Stewart, he was preceded in death by both his wives.
Survivors include: sons, Harold M. Hester, Jr., James and Jerry; daughters, Jody Dreher and Peggy Lopez; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be on September 18, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Salt City Cowboy Church, 810 North Main Street, South Hutchinson, Kansas. A dinner will follow, and to please bring a side dish. Thank you.
